Just want to point out that in your post on unschooling, you say unschoolers are first taught the basics of reading and math, then let to choose the rest of their own learning, and that's not accurate. If you're unschooling, you're not "taught" anything unless you ask to be taught/seek out a teacher, including when it comes to the basics! I learned to read through being read to for many years, then eventually just picked up a book and started reading when I was about 9... :)
Whoa! Really? I had no idea! I was under the impression it was something like the classical learning where you learned basic skills to acquire more knowledge. Hahaha This is me thinking how to apply it in a public school system. It’s been one of the major problems of the Philippines and I thought that maybe there was some dimension about it I could systematize into public utility.
